There has long been a strongly felt need for a good, up-to-date, short DVD that would give a visitor or new member an idea of what the Moravian Church is all about. Now, that's going to become a reality - with your help!

The 2006 Synods of the Northern and Southern Provinces approved funding for a "Visitor DVD." The pastors in both provinces that have had input into the project have emphasized that the DVD needs to be inclusive - in other words, it needs to feature interviews from laypeople as well as clergy, and it needs to include a mix of congregations from across both provinces - and maybe samplings from around the world, where possible - not just the larger congregations in Bethlehem and Winston-Salem. But how to accomplish such a wide-ranging project on a tight budget?

The answer is YOU!

We're seeking to recruit volunteers from across both provinces to tape video from their congregations, including some shots of unique or memorable worship services, shots of the buildings and - most importantly - interviews of real Moravians from Miami to Minneapolis, from Goshen to Greensboro!

Submitted videotapes will then be reviewed by a professional filmmaker and edited together to create a tapestry of testimony about what being a member of the Moravian Church is all about.
