How Do We Get Started?
- Discuss the project with your pastor and lay leaders. Get permission from your Board to be an official part of this project.
 :
- Get specific permission as needed to videotape in worship services. Download the guide to videotaping worship services and read it carefully!
 :
- Work with pastors and lay leaders to identify members who would be interested in being interviewed.
 :
 - Identify those with technical skills in your congregation. Obviously, if you have a video professional in the congregation - or a talented amateur - speak to them first!
 :
- Download - and read - the appropriate technical guide. You do not have to have professional equipment to create a pleasing picture and clear sound with a home DV camcorder. However, you do have to follow certain rules to make sure that your video meets basic quality standards. Video that is poorly shot or has poor audio will not be used!
 :
- Download the suggested interview questions.
 :
- Download and print the model releases for adults and children. We must have a model release on file to use an interview! Children that are interviewed must have a parent or guardian sign a release.
